Puja Shah

I am part of an Indian dance team on campus that is called Temple University Bhangra. The form of dance originates from northern India and can be very traditional or very modern depending on the type of music that is being played. Temple Bhangra is more of a modern dance team than traditional because we are a younger team.

Apart from being a member on the dance team I am also the captain for it as well. As captain I am responsible for: organizing a routine according to the music, managing a team of 16 or more for performances and events, and communicating with students and event coordinators on various occasions.

Temple Bhangra also teaches me how to work together on a team and with different ages of people while grasping different cultural aspects.
