Richard Flanagan

Assistant Professor (Practice) Richard Flanagan holds a AB degree in Government and Law from Lafayette College, a MA from John Jay College, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Temple University.

Dr. Flanagan worked for six years in the criminal justice system before joining Rohm and Haas Company. During his 29 year career at Rohm and Haas, he worked in three divisions of the company (Information Technology, Research and Development, and Legal) and one business (Adhesives & Sealants). He held numerous global leadership positions and worked in all regions of the world. He lead successful projects and teams working in IT infrastructure, applications development, business process consultation, re-engineering and IT strategic planning. For the last eight years of his tenure he was the director responsible for aligning IT’s efforts with the needs of the company’s many businesses.

As director of the IT Auditing and Cyber-Security program, Dr. Flanagan leads successful program focusing on the need to assure the integrity of organizations processes, systems and data.
