MIS 4596 (Spring 2018) – Warehouse Wizards project
In the spring semester of my senior year, I completed a group Capstone project. Each group was tasked with developing a prototype for an application that would fill a need/solve an important problem. My teammates and I decided to work on a warehouse utilization prototype through JustInMind that incorporated data from the 2017 Temple Data Analytics challenge sponsored by QVC.
This course taught me how to look at the big picture of a project. Not only did we have to develop the prototype, but we also needed to factor in the financial implications, marketing strategy, and implementation of our solution. It built strong teamwork skills, gave me the opportunity to think through the whole process start to finish, and forced me consider all aspects of the project before making an important decision.
