Student Intern
Temple University Hospital is one of the region’s most respected academic medical centers, situated in North Philadelphia. The department I was deployed in was Temple Health Institutional Advancement – Stewardship & Events department. My office space is primarily in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine (LKSOM), but I also work between the Medical Education and Research Building (MERB) as well as the hospital grounds itself. I was a student intern tasked with compiling constituent information into more readable and accessible data.
Projects included:
- Taking past event data from a previous list, and manipulating it for use on a future list.
- Cross-checking entries from our lists with Banner & Cognos reporting information.
- Updating lists with the use of prospect research tools.
What I have done with data here is precisely what I have learned to do in MIS 2501 and 2502. Where we are able to present insights from the hospital data analyzed.
