Payroll E-Time Configuration Intern
- I work in the payroll department and have been handling the new time system being put in place for employees at all venues across the country to clock in their hours worked. The payroll department at Comcast Spectacor is small and consists of 12 employees including myself. My main role is to answer venue managers’ questions regarding new implementation of E-time system.
- My duties include tracking all old systems disabled and returned as well as new ones installed. I have also been the main point of contact for managers and other employees involved in the switch over who have questions regarding the quirks of the system.
- Due to the large number of clock implemented this is a project that has been going on since my arrival and has been the only major project I have been told to focus on because of its importance.
- I have been using a lot of data analytics during my time in this position in regards to the new clock system. Our team has over 100 clocks that are in the process of being replaced and the new system for employees to clock in has to be recorded along the way. Many issues have also arose with the clock setups and my job is to resolve these issues on my end of the computer. I have learned a great deal not only about the payroll functions but how essential it is for technology to work correctly to track hours. One minor glitch can cause issues that will mess up an entire pay groups’ checks.
