Throughout my time at Temple I have taken many valuable courses that have helped me gain insight on the business world we live in today. Business seminars’s and classes like Human Resource Management helped me learn what to expect for my first internship/job and how to operate professionally in the work environment. Business Communications allowed me to learn the “language” of business and completely restructured how I go about talking to future employers and successful business men/women.
Although I only recently became an MIS major at the end of the fall 2017 semester, I have already taken a great interest in the industry and have begun to learn the basics of Information Management Systems. My risk management course emphasized the different dangers employers can face and discussed the new growing field of cyber security and all of the job listings an MIS major could qualify for. Computers have always interested me and the course MIS 2101 gave a great overview of the MIS major and helped persuade me into declaring MIS. Technology has always been a passion of mine and it only gets stronger and more developed as time progresses.
