ReminderMedia Business Development Internship
During the summer of 2015 I interned for ReminderMedia which is located in King of Prussia Pennsylvania. ReminderMedia is a 12 year old company that specializes in repeat and referral business for their customers. They are the publishers of the American Lifestyle magazine which maintains and fosters relationships to customers elegantly and professionally. I worked as a business development intern which means I worked with the Business Intelligence Department to gather information on customers and enter that information into the CRM program. In addition to working with technology I also:
- Gathered information from the web and inputting it into our CRM (Customer
Relationship Manager) - Cleaned and reformatted lists of existing data
- Understood the components of viable, lucrative leads and how to get them into the hands of our sales team
- Identified and processed leverage to be used by our sales team
- Generated reports and statistical analyses
- Other duties include work-flow management, documentation prep, and expediting of product samples
This internship was a full time (40 hours a week) and it was a paid position. The program lasted for 16 weeks beginning on May 18th 2015 and ending August 14th 2015.
As an MIS major I was very excited to complete my first internship of my career and to have learned how a start up business can grow so quickly within just a few years when leveraging technology. Working with CRM and SAP programs really helped me learn more about the technology side. I also learned how to meet team goals as well as individual goals with the task that we will be assigned.
