Welcome to my page. I am Shuting (Ada) Wang, first-year PhD student in Department of Management Information System, Fox School of Business.
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management from Zhongnan University of Economics and Laws in 2009 and a master’s degree in Operations Management from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in 2011. Prior to entering academia, I have worked in different industries, including internship in General Electric, Cummins, and SAP, and most recently a full-time management trainee in JD.com, one of the leading online retailing companies in China.
The wonderful working experience stimulated my intense interest in e-commerce. My master’s thesis studied online behavioral targeting problem and applied empirical approaches to explore online customer behavior based on a dataset from Taobao.com. I also have research experience working as a Research Assistant in the fields of marketing and rural economy.
I am still exploring specific research topics. In general I have strong interest in e-commerce strategy, digital business strategy and online retailing. But I am open to any research questions. I will be more than happy to talk with you if you coincidentally share some common research interest with me!
