Executive Women International

EWI

Dates Participated: Fall 2014 – Present

Position Held: Communications Director

Executive Women International is an organization looking to empower women at the collegiate level to promote leadership, personal and professional development, and community involvement.  Temple EWI was founded last year and we are the second collegiate chapter in the nation.

As Communications Director, I work primarily with social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to spread awareness about our organization as well as keep our growing member base up to date.  In addition to these responsibilities, I use resources such as buffer and email chimp to analyze which posts or emails are most effective.

AIS

Dates Participated: Fall 2015 – Present

AIS is the founding student chapter of the Association of Information Systems which provides opportunities to practice and learn new MIS skills.  I declared MIS as a major spring of 2015, I am relatively new to AIS, but I have participated in professional development workshops and networking events.

AMA

AMA

Dates Participated: Fall 2014 – Present

Temple University American Marketing Association (AMA) is one of the largest Professional Development Organizations in the Fox School of Business with over 200 members.  As a member I have gone to many speaker sessions to learn more about different career paths that can be taken by an IT professional with a marketing background. Being a part of AMA has allowed me to develop soft skills needed for communicating clearly and networking with clients.
