SungYong Um is a second-year Management Information Systems (MIS) doctoral student at the Fox School of Business of Temple University. He earned his B.S.in Material Science and Engineering and M.S.in Business Administration from Korea University in Seoul, Korea. His research is currently focused on digital innovation and organizational change. Specifically, he is interested in understanding the structural patterns of digital innovation in a digital ecosystem and the role of digital technology as a motivator of institutional change from a network perspective. His studies are currently supported by the Fox School of Business, CIGREF, and NSF grants. His work was presented at Workshop on Information Systems and Economics (WISE) in 2011 and will be published at the International Federation on Information Processing Working Group 8.2 (IFIP 8.2) in 2012.
