In this course, I have learned how to assess the quality of data sources, clean a dataset, leverage analytical and visualizing tools to identify patterns and meaningful insights to make data-driven decisions. After this, I have familiarized myself with using programs and applications such as Tableau, Excel, Piktochart to enhance my analysis.

This course provides an understanding of core concepts of management information systems, emphasizes the importance of CRM and ERP systems, and presents different approaches to systems architecture. Learn about conceptual diagramming and data modeling using swimlane, relational and entity relationship diagrams.
MIS 2502: Data Analytics
Analyze data and learn how to present insights from business data. Create data models and data warehouses based on business rules. Learn how to operate and manage a database system and structured query language (SQL). Source traditional and new data types and apply data mining and visualization to generate business intelligence.
MIS 3406: Enterprise IT Architecture
Learn the IT architecture of an enterprise. Explain and assess information technology such as computer hardware, software, systems, and networking. Learn about new computing platforms and how they create business value. Explore the technologies and business models of the ecosystems for new digital products and services.
MIS 3506: Digital Solutions Studio
Learn to translate business needs into technology-enabled solutions. This includes interacting with clients, conducting interviews, collecting requirements, modeling processes and data, and designing solutions to the client’s problems. After scoping the project and compiling business rules, we use JustInMind to prototype our solutions.
MSOM 3901: Management Science/Operations Management
This course introduces the types of problems that operations managers need to solve and different decisions faced with when tackling these issues. Decisions involve production planning and scheduling, staffing and equipment allocation, inventory control, and facility location.
