Work Experience

Enterprise Infrastructure Intern

In the summer of 2018, I worked as an Enterprise Infrastructure Intern at The Chemours Company corporate headquarters in Wilmington Delaware. Chemours is a global fortune 500 chemical company that was started in 2015 as a subsidiary of DuPont. My role was in the enterprise infrastructure team, and my job required supporting both the on-premises data center and the cloud infrastructure.

My biggest project involved building an interactive, automated data dashboard that is used by senior management to determine the status of both backup jobs and security updates to our servers. The dashboard was built in Microsoft Power BI, and embedded into a company SharePoint site which allows users to conveniently access current data in a centralized location. The data that I extracted to build the report was presented to the board of directors by the chief information officer as part of a quarterly compliance meeting.

Throughout the internship, I took away many valuable insights. I obtained very useful technical skills by working with the company applications to build the dashboard. I was also able to refine my scripting skills by constantly querying specific, large raw data sets to input into reports. I formed relationships with my managers and coworkers while building my technical knowledge, and I learned that effective communication is key to maximizing your time and work quality in a corporate environment.

Cybersecurity Research Assistant

I gathered and categorized data from college Penetration Teams competing in the Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition. I sorted actions of the team and placed them into excel spreadsheets by the action’s position on the cyber-intrusion chain. The data that I gathered will be featured in an official publication to create a Dynamic Routine Activities Theory to more effectively catch and prosecute cybercriminals.

Bag Room and Proshop Employee

I have worked in the Bag Room at Glen Oak Country Club in Clarks Summit, PA for the last two summers. I was moved into a retail sales role in the Proshop last summer due to my excellent customer service skills.
