Framing Philly’s Social Impact Scene: Where Business, Nonprofit, & Philly Meet

This event was put on by the Business Resource Innovation Center at the Philadelphia Library from 6-8pm. The core topic that was relevant to my coursework was how technology has entered the non-profit sector and what that looks like. I also learned a lot of valuable knowledge of non-profit business models and how they coexist and interact with traditional for profit firms. This event helped my professional development by allowing me to network with a group of professionals who I typically would not be as likely to meet at the business school. I myself have never personally never considered working at a non profit but the knowledge I gained from the panel was none the less very valuable.
