BookLit
In the MIS 4596 (Capstone) course, we learned how to successfully initiate a project and execute it. Our project “BookLit” was about improving reading levels in the USA by creating an app that allows students in the 3rd grade to take quizzes on books they read in school or outside school. Working through this process, we came to learn that we needed something unique to distinguish our app from the other competitors. So, we came up with an idea of an incentive store. Once students take quizzes on our app, for every correct answer, they will be rewarded a certain amount of point which they can redeem in our incentive store. Overall, this project taught us how to identify a problem in the real world and address it leverage technology.
