Thanks for looking at my eportfolio! I am from Eagleville, PA and graduated from Methacton High School. I chose MIS as a major because I believe that Information Technology will change the today’s business world and I am interested in a career that focuses on digital innovation. I truly believe that technology is integral to the success of any organization.
In the summer of 2017, I completed a research project in the BioInformatics Lab at Temple and studied the ancestral-derived effects on the mutational landscapes of TCGA Cancers. I wanted to create a database that displays individual metadata (sex/race) with mutational data (nucleotide sequences). To do that I ran and executed bash scripts in the Ubuntu Linux VM Environment. I also used Python to extract data sets, uncompress and concatenate files, and convert file formats and parse and standardize data.
