AIS Mentorship Program
Fall 2018- For me, I am so happy that I joined the AIS mentorship program. In my opinion, it is one of the best programs they can add in a university. Not all universities with SPO’s provide a mentorship program for them to join. I think this program helped me grow more as a college student and think smarter. I felt that I made more connections with other AIS mentorship program students (other than the mentor herself). My mentor was great. She was there to answer my questions and clear my doubts whenever I had any. She helped me with how I could apply for internships, write resumes, etc.. Overall, I was so happy with the experience. I am excited to join the program once again in Spring 2019.
Fall 2019- I once again joined the AIS mentorship program this past semester. I joined the program again because I still believe it is one of the best programs that an student organization can provide in an university. This semester I continued developing my resume and my mentor helped revise my resume, which was beneficial to me. He also created a PRO point plan for me which I can use in the future so that I can earn points in future semesters in order to get 1000 points by the end of senior year. My mentor was very helpful and was there to answer any questions I had. He was very flexible and would answer my questions whenever I had any. He also motivated me to become a mentor in future semesters, which I certainly will consider. Overall, once again I was again I was happy with the experience. I hope to join the program again next semester in Spring 2020.
Spring 2020- I continued my participation in the AIS mentorship program this past semester. I still love the program a lot and believe it is the best programs that an student organization can provide in an university. This semester, I polished off my resume and was looking for internships to apply for. My mentor was once again very helpful in finding internships to apply for. I also plan on getting a Master’s degree at Temple, so my mentor gave me amazing recommendations for that as well. Finally, my mentor helped me in picking classes for next semester. He motivated me to become a mentor next semester as well which I absolutely consider as I will become a senior. Overall, the experience was again nothing but amazing. I will join the program again next semester in Fall 2020.
