Disruptive Technology

For the Disruptive Technology, the real benefit to customers is that they are receiving a better product in the long run. If the technology performs better than its predecessor then this is apparent. The technology provides a business with a great opportunity to steal first mover advantage in these new technologies. However, the downside is that customers may not accept new technology and you may be unable to cross the chasm on the S-curve between early adopters and the early majority of customers.
