Data Analyst Assistant
Founded at the beginning of the 21st century and with a registered capital of 30.8 million, Guangzhou WeiDu Computer Technology Co., Ltd.（WeiDu Technology） is an internet technology and communication company combining sales and services. With its strong distribution ability, Weidu Technology has been authorized and supported by many famous network manufacturers at home and abroad, and has become the agent for many brands, such as H3C, ZTE, CISCO, Allied Telesis, JUNIPER, HP, AMP, COMMSCOPE, BELDEN. The product line has extended from switchboards, routers, cabling, optical fibers and cabinets to high-end routers, firewalls, VPN, voice video, IP SAN storage, and IP intelligent monitoring.
It is a great honor to have an opportunity working as a data analyst assistant in WeiDu. I feel that it is important to understand that although data analysts may have several tasks to accomplish, the primary idea is to develop analysis and reporting capabilities. Some of the roles assigned include maintaining databases, interpreting data, identifying new process improvement opportunities, identifying, analyzing ensuring that business priorities and information needs are centers for concentration. Although what I’ve learned in MIS deals with information systems and how they can impact the business, analyzing data and presenting report still not that easy.
I worked on two projects with my coworkers. For instance, we managed to perform data analysis of different departments such as sales, marketing, and production using mathematical and statistical techniques and reported that the organization needed to improve our business practices in order to realize profit growth. I achieved to come up with recommendations after deeply scrutinizing and analyzing the data patterns. I learned many things out of this internship. And I think it is necessary stating that the key function of a data analyst is to maintain the database by acquiring data from secondary or primary data sources of organization.
