Citizen Diplomacy International (CDI) Philadelphia*

*Previously known as International Visitor’s Counsel (IVC)

A picture with a fellow international scholar and CDI's president and CEO Nancy Gilboy

  • Being a (citizen diplomacy) member of  CDI and having the mentoring support from the Vice-Chairman, I get invited and attend all CDI events (including First Thursday events) where I gain I great ton of socializing skills and communication; as well as plenty of opportunities. The Noble Prize of Peace nominee organization holds events for professional networking, international relations and citizen diplomacy.

  • CDI’s 60th anniversary annual event was held at the mayor’s reception room at the City Hall. The 2014 event was one of the biggest ones so far, and was the event where the organization changed it’s name at.

  • Attending CDI’s socializing events has given me the oppurtonity to meet and learn from insipirational people such as famous writers and businessmen along with a lot of important international figures.

AIESEC US (NYC/PHILLY):

Being an important part of AIESEC Baruch (NYC,) I also get invited to all national events and conferences held in difference cities around the U.S (AIESEC Cherry Blossom DC, AIESEC North Carolina Annual Conference) where AIESECers from all around the US (and Canada) gather and either enjoy a casual get-together event, or a professional conference. Plus other upcoming major once-a-year international events held at different countries.

Upcoming Event:

Every year, a chapter of AIESEC United States is selected to host a summer national conference in order to continue the legacy of AIESEC and educate member from all across the world. Once a chapter is selected, Chapel + Appalachian State, an organizing committee president is then selected from that host chapter and given the role of selecting an Organizing Committee.
Together, the Organizing Committee unites from all across the network in order to create the AIESEC experience for member. This contributes to creating cross cultural experiences for all members to gain knowledge and become the global leaders of tomorrow

The AIESEC US Summer National Conference (SNC) is one of the biggest events held by AIESEC US annually. It is required for every local committee president (LCP) to attend the conference and represent their chapter. The next SNC will be held in North Carolina beginning of August.
