Industry Experience Internship
Corporate Procurement Intern- QVC, Inc.
My internship at QVC has provided me with a great deal of Industry Experience that will be very valuable when I start working full time. When I started as a Corporate Procurement Intern, I just ran a few data reports each week and helped out the team with miscellaneous assignments. I have now been with QVC almost a year and my responsibilities have increased dramatically. I now reach out to vendors for quotes, negotiate pricing, review contracts with legal, and help fix problems with our P2P system.
Besides the specific skills I have gained from my internship, I have developed many professional skills as well. I have learned a great deal about proper business etiquette and the daily functions of working in a corporate office. Being in corporate really lets me better understand how the business functions as a whole since I get to work with others from different departments every day.
