Details of the Activity: In this leadership role, I organize and oversee monthly large-scale events for a chapter of nearly 100 members. These events include outings such as Phillies games and Six Flags trips, designed to strengthen bonds and member engagement. I manage event budgets ranging from $200–$5,000, negotiate with vendors, coordinate logistics, and ensure successful execution while remaining cost-conscious.
What I Learned: This experience has enhanced my skills in event planning, project management, budget administration, and vendor relations. I have also learned how to lead initiatives that foster collaboration, engagement, and community building in a large organization.
Relation to Coursework/Career Goals: This role directly supports my career goals by developing transferable skills in leadership, project coordination, and stakeholder management. These skills are essential for success in business environments where organization, communication, and strategic planning are key to achieving impactful results.
