Summer Internship – Full-Time
Project Management Intern May 2021 to August 2021
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist with IT project coordination including project planning, resource tracking, and budget management
- Overseeing IT contracts, sourcing agreements, and managing small-scale projects
- Tracking and managing IT-related expenditures against budget, taking ownership of account management and
payment for IT expenses and supporting and managing IT Procurement alongside Director, PMO, and CIO.
What I learned from this amazing experience:
- “Stop and process first”
- “Don’t get so caught up in a process as it will make you think robotically. Also, do not worry about perfection – IT IS OK TO MAKE A MISTAKE”
- Way of communication throughout the organization.
- Importance of Teams app.
- Importance of outlook calendar and how it’s used.
- While managing the IT finances, I learned:
- How to pay invoices
- Setting auto-pay for payments
- Troubleshooting problems with payments
- Communication with different types of vendors
- Tracking of all the payments and invoices
- Learned about various types of contracts that are signed, such as:
- Statement of Work
- Various types of Quotes
- Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Sales Agreement
- Purchase Agreements
- Lease Agreements and many more.
- Was part of the OneStream implementation project.
- Learned how to take in-depth notes of follow-ups, actions, and conversations that need to be had in the future.
- Attended various meetings with Finance heads and consultants.

Fall Internship – Part-Time
Project Portfolio Management Analyst August 2021 to December 2021
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides coordination and logistics for meetings and manages project schedules and calendars
- Monitors and leads quality improvement for PMO projects and deliverables
- Supports and manages IT Procurement alongside Program Manager and CIO
- Monitors and updates project plans, tasks, and activities ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule
- Maintain, configure, and support KeyedIn (ACR’s PPM Tool) and project SharePoint sites
- Participate in PPM upgrades, enhancements, and work with the vendor to resolve defects
What I learned from this amazing experience:
- Way of communication throughout the organization.
- What KeyedIn is.
- Use and importance of KeyedIn.
- Importance of planning, structuring, and iterating.
- Importance of taking one step at a time and not trying to finish everything in one go.
- Tracking progress.
- Taking proper notes and following up on action items.
- Multitasking
- Scheduling meetings with key stakeholders with different availabilities.
- Improved my confidence and communications skills.
- Learned working at a faster pace with greater efficiency.
- Improved my problem-solving skills.
