MIS 2101: Information Systems in Organization
Throughout this course, I learned the role of information systems and digital platforms in business and how digital products are conceived, designed, secured, and deployed. This was done through the instruction of Swim-Lanes and the concept of Supply-Chain Management, component-based software architectures, and APIs. This course helped me conceptualize how the technological side of business is processed in a broken down and easily digestible way.
MIS 2402: Web Application Development
Throughout this course, I learned about all the components necessary to create and functional website, including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. During this course, I also learned the basics and importance of loops, arrays, conditional statements, data validation, responsive web design, and making API calls. Although I found this class to be extremely interesting, this class also helped me narrow down my future professional endeavors to being more related to data analytics.
MIS 2502: Data Analytics
Throughout this course, I took a step further into understanding relational and NoSQL databases. I learned the importance of how much information could be stored in data, how to organize data, and how to take care of the data currently being worked with. I enjoyed this class very much because I realized that working with relational databases is where I see myself in my professional career.
