CAREER OBJECTIVES
I am currently employed full-time at Schlegel Park Pool, one of the largest public pools in Berks County where I live during the summer. I work in the concession stand serving hundreds of people a summer. I am also employed part-time at First Energy Stadium working for the Philadelphia Phillies AA affiliate the Reading Fightin Phils. My job at First Energy Stadium is the same, working in the concession stand preparing and serving cotton candy, snow cones, etc. The skill sets I have attained working these jobs are not directly linked to the accounting profession, but I believe these skill sets are necessary to be successful in my profession and to accomplish my goals. I plan on pursuing an internship and gaining experience relative to the accounting profession in the next year.
My goal is to graduate with my Bachelor in Business Administration with the necessary requirements to be accepted into the Temple University’s one-year Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program. The MAcc program will allow me to attain my master’s in just one year and will prepare me for the CPA exam that I find will be vital in determining my success in the accounting profession. Ultimately, after gaining the essential experience and knowledge my main long-term goal is to own an accounting firm.
