Walmart Internship
For the summer of 2013 I worked as an intern for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in their Information Systems Division. I worked in the International Integrations department, which works on mergers and acquisitions in international markets. The area brings those stores up to the level of domestic Wal-Mart stores in the most efficient way possible in order for the business to start serving its customers and make money.
I personally worked on the Resource Management and Strategy team within International Integrations. My team assigns vendor partner resources to work on projects within the different countries we serve. I was tasked with automating the resource request process making my teammates and area managers more efficient. I also migrated and reorganized the International Integrations SharePoint from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010 in order to make accessing documents as easy as possible.
