Student Organization Officer
For this professional development activity, I serve as the Co-Founder and Treasurer of the Temple University Malayalee Association, a role I have held since the spring of 2024. As a founding executive board member, I played a key role in establishing the organization’s mission to foster community among Malayalee students and promote cultural awareness through consistent programming and monthly events.
In my capacity as Treasurer, I am responsible for the total financial oversight of the organization. This includes developing comprehensive budgets, tracking complex expenditures, and strategically allocating resources to ensure the success of our cultural initiatives. I also lead all financial reporting efforts, ensuring strict compliance with university policies and maintaining complete transparency within the executive team. This leadership role has allowed me to apply my academic background in finance to a practical organizational setting while building a sustainable foundation for a new student association.
