Job function
- Build technical and strategic skills while working alongside crew from across the business
- Design front-end and back-end solutions for test-driven development
- Champion innovative ways, from concept to execution, that will help give crew and clients the best chance for success
- Respond to new challenges in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Follow agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban or adopt Lean principles
- Build Angular web applications and Restful micro-services using Java hosted on the AWS cloud
- Work on continuous delivery pipeline using Bamboo and run automated tests using Junit, Protractor, Jasmine and Selenium
How the job relates to my coursework
- Lead Global Digital Projects (MIS 3535): Vanguard employs scrum and agile frameworks. I will utilize the concepts learned in this course to effectively follow scrum methods, create scrum artifacts, and implement an iterative approach in my work to efficiently develop, deliver, and sustain products in a complex environment.
- Web Service Programming (MIS 3502): I will apply the skills learned in this course to successfully build applications using Javascript and MySQL.
- User Experience Design (MIS 3506): I will incorporate the concepts learned in this class into my design process to ensure that all applications created are accessible and provide the optimal user experience.
