Position: Academic Tutor
The Academy for Adult Learning is a program at Temple University that provides tutors and mentors for students who have legally diagnosed intellectual disabilities. I am a tutor for this program and in my position, I attend my student’s classes and set up tutoring session with them to complete any homework or reading assignments. After each session, I assess the student’s academic progress, which I must turn into the program coordinator bi-weekly. This is the most rewarding job I have ever held and it has really developed my social work skills and has also enhanced my patience and understanding levels.

Position: Key Holder
I worked at my hometown’s local Cold Stone Creamery for over two years. In my position, I held a key to the store, allowing me to work any shift by myself. At this job, I served customers, made all of our various treats for the display, handled money regularly, and worked with stocking inventory. I was responsible for ensuring all of our customers had a pleasant experience while working efficiently and joyfully with my coworkers.
