Director of External Chapter Communications, Temple University American Marketing Association

The Temple University American Marketing Association is the primary marketing student professional organization at the Fox School of Business. As Director of External Chapter Communications for the 2024-2025 academic year, my primary role includes creating the Chapter Plan, Annual Report, Monthly Newsletters, and Year in Review for the organization while collaborating with my co-director. The Chapter Plan comprises over 50 goals spread across 8 committees of the executive board, including metrics and strategies for completing them, to be sent to AMA Nationals. The Annual Report reported how our chapter completed the goals using star rankings and reflections. These documents provided me with insights into collaboration through the creation of goals with 18 members of the executive board, design using Adobe InDesign, and setting achievable goals with measurable benchmarks. The Monthly Newsletters were also created with Adobe InDesign and shared with 300+ stakeholders and members, teaching me effective written communication and design skills. My role as a whole has taught me how to facilitate collaboration, technical design skills, and effective goal setting and reflection for an organization, which will aid me when in my future role in marketing.
