Activities and Clubs
I joined the Association for Information Systems in the Fall of 2015. I had just declared an MIS major and before I was able to take an MIS course, I thought it’d be best to join the club to see if MIS was the right fit for me. The organization would hold speaker series and informational meetings about professional development and technical skills every week. Through this club I was able to better understand the opportunities available for me as an MIS major as well as how to improve my professional image.
I joined Delta Zeta sorority in January of 2016. I wanted to be apart of an organization where the focus was being yourself while also making life long friendships and helping others. Delta Zeta is actively involved in philanthropic events including raising money for the Painted Turtle Camp, a summer camp for children who suffer serious life illnesses. The chapter at Temple University holds can shakes at different locations at least once a month, while also holding bake sales and other fundraising events.
