Two years from now: Audit Associate
- Graduated from college as accounting major with 150 credits by May, 2015
- Take the CPA exam by November, 2015 hope to be completed by May 2016.
- Find the career of my dream (audit practice) and grow professionally with the firm and be a team player.
- Bring in my usual good attitude to work and the willingness to learn new skills that will enhance my career growth and active engagement in community service.
Ten years from now: Senior Manager
- Grow to be the professional that I want to be, well knowledgeable in my chosen career.
- Be able to manage others and act as a role model for inexperienced associates with the ability to cope with individual differences.
- Make meaningful contributions in terms of decision making that will continue to bring success and growth to the firm.
- Implement changes that might be happening as time goes on quickly adapt to GAAP, SEC and IFRS rules which ever will be in effect at that time.
20 years from now: Find New Office
- Move to a new location to meet new people, new environment and work as if I just got the job.
- Build a good relationship with my team and give our best to our clients.
- Identify talents who are willing to make sacrifices at all times for the success of the firm and the satisfaction of the clients and prepare to retire.
25-30 years from now: be an entrepreneur and help the less privileged
- Entrepreneur: Start my own business in Sierra Leone by engaging in import and export of goods needed and creating jobs for my people.
- Provide basic needs for street kids as they are the future leaders.
- Advocate for the less fortunate children in third world nation for equal opportunity and the chance to get quality education.
