Extracurricular Involvement
During my fall semester of my freshman year at Temple I decided to go out for sorority recruitment and joined an amazing sisterhood called Phi Sigma Sigma. We are the oldest sorority on Temple’s campus being started in 1926. We currently have 150 members who are all dedicated to being the best person they can be due to our motto “aim high”. We have a sorority house that many of the sisters live in and we host many events on campus. Our most popular event is known as Grilled Cheese. We sell homemade grilled cheese at our house for $1 and all of the proceeds go to our national philanthropy for School and College Readiness. We also participate in benefit walks such as the Light the Night walk which raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Our organization is constantly giving back to better the community and people around us and I feel honored to be a part of it.
