Peer Instructor-University Honors Freshmen Seminar
During the Fall 2013 semester, I served as a Peer Instructor for Temple’s University Honors Freshmen Seminar. The University Honors Freshmen Seminar is a course that is offered by Undergraduate Studies and works to acclimate first-year students to college life at an urban university that serves over 30,000 students. As a Peer Instructor, I collaborated with the lead instructor to generate course material to be used in weekly lectures and also aided the instructor by contributing to classroom discussions on topics such as time management and successful study habits. I have really enjoyed this position and am looking forward to more peer teaching opportunities. Next semester, I will serve as a Diamond Peer Instructor for a Business Statistics course of 250 students!
