Analyst
Wells Fargo is a leading Financial services firm consisting of over 300,000 employees. Wells Fargo is based in Charlotte, but has headquarters all over the world. During this internship, I was based in Philadelphia at their Philadelphia Location and worked in their Enterprise Technology Audit Team.
My role consisted of learning internal audit practices and functions within Wells Fargo and how they align with the three lines of defense. By learning these audit practices, I leveraged those to evaluate the current Wells Fargo Technology Applications currently being developed and tested those controls in place within each application to ensure each application was in compliance and mitigating all risks.
I served as a project lead amongst four other interns to compose a presentation on our time with the firm and what we gathered out of our experience. At induction week hosted in Orlando, FL- I was able to network with over 1200 interns and seasoned professionals to hear what their experiences were within the company.
I learned how to leverage different technologies with what we learned in classes compared to what is used in industry. Based off my understanding of AWS from my Cloud Architecture course, I was able to use the core of what being cloud native means and apply those principles and tools to other cloud services.
