Temple ITS is responsible for all of the upkeep of the technology and systems at the University. In the specific department Application Support Services, is in-charge of all of the technology and data processing of all prospective students who are applying to Temple.

An example of something that I have worked on would be the processing and creation of duplicate “person” entries. In this role, my responsibilities consist of using CRM databases to sort through prospective student data ensuring that each student data entry is correct and up-to date. Another aspect of this position is to create duplicate student entries to test against the software. I learned about the proper ways of sorting through data, and the testing of different sources for validity.

This role relates back to my coursework and major through the analytical perspective that I must use when sorting through data. From my knowledge of SQL from my MIS 2502 class, I was able to have a better understanding of the processes of pulling data from a database, and what the best practices would be when entering data into a system. I was also able to apply the principles of good quality data, versus bad quality data and decide the validity of data sources when there were two different user inputs.

["post-37","points","type-points","status-publish","hentry
["GET
