Hootathon Participant Relations Chair
Temple’s Hootathon is a fundraising effort to raise money for the Children’s miracle network. The money goes towards kids at CHOP with cancer to pay their extensive hospital bills. We have 2 miracle families that we work closely with to have a close knit relationship with and invite to our Hootathon dance marathon, similar to Penn State’s THON. As Participant Relations Chair/committee head, I am in charge of communicating with participants and alumni via email to ensure everyone is up to date on our events. I send out weekly newsletters to Hootathon participants and also set up an alumni speaker at one of our GBMs. This experience has allowed for a great opportunity to leverage my media communication and event planning skills.
