Love Run Volunteer
Volunteering at the Philadelphia Love Run was a rewarding experience that went beyond simply holding the banner, It also included being at the finish line, where I had the opportunity to hand out warm heat sheets to competitors. This combined duty allowed me to be a part of the runners’ journey, from the motivating start to the joyous finish. Holding the runners’ banner represented unity and encouragement, and at the finish line, I offered comfort and support by covering the runners in heat sheets and giving them a sense of success. This extensive volunteer experience not only enhanced my connection with the community and the event, but also improved my skills in empathy, organizing, and effective communication.
