Temple University’s Fashion and Business Club ~ FAB
Temple FAB is Temple University’s only club which allows student to integrate their love of both fashion and real-world business. I am currently on the e-board of FAB as the Events Chair. I have also been a member of this club since it was first founded in November 2012 and have seen it grow from the original eleven members to today’s total of 77 members. Being able to give input into the club’s growth and development is a very rewarding feeling!
FAB excels by bringing in speakers from leading fashion industry companies, especially those with roots in the Philadelphia are. It is a great source of networking and a way to gain knowledge and experience into the business side of fashion; this past September the club even traveled to Philadelphia Fashion Week! As such an original club on Temple University’s main campus, FAB is sure to keep succeeding, and I am very proud to be a part of that.
Temple University American Marketing Association
I am currently a member of Temple University’s Chapter of the American Marketing Association. TU-AMA is is a Student Profession Organization (SPO) within the Fox School of Business which provides students with the opportunity to gain exposure to different careers within the Marketing industry by bringing in guest speakers and holding networking events. This past February I even traveled with several TU-AMA members to Burlington’s NYC office where I spent the day shadowing a buyer and meeting vendors. Joining TU-AMA has exposed me to many areas of marketing and given me wonderful in-the-field opportunities to help me further discover a future career path.
