Summer Rotational Bank Intern
During my rotational internship at United Bank in Washington, D.C., I gained exposure to Credit & Lending, Wealth Management, IT, Retail, Marketing, and Operations. Each week, I presented project updates to colleagues, executives, and leadership, which helped me strengthen my communication and presentation skills. In Wealth Management, I worked on prospect client portfolios, including asset allocation strategies and portfolio analysis, while in Credit & Lending I prepared guarantor spreads in Excel, evaluated DSCR, NOI, and client capital for CRE and C&I deals, and learned the fundamentals of the underwriting process. I also developed skills in financial analysis, portfolio strategy, and cross-department collaboration through hands-on projects. Overall, the program gave me a deeper understanding of how different business units work together to support financial services.
