I worked as a volunteer with Code for America, a nonprofit that supports civic-minded technologists in lending a hand in their communities. By working together with local governments and community organizations to create technology solutions, Code for America aims to enhance how people use government services.
In my role as a volunteer with Code for America, I contributed to initiatives like creating a mobile app to facilitate access to public services or creating a website to make it simpler for small businesses to comply with legal requirements. Our efforts have led to enhanced access to crucial services, improved government efficiency, and better quality of life for residents in your neighborhood.
I gained useful knowledge in software development, project management, and teamwork while volunteering with Code for America in addition to the pleasure of assisting others. Working with experienced IT experts gave me the chance to get practical experience that would be useful in my future career.
