Local Library
I worked with the local library as a volunteer to provide tech support. The purpose of this volunteer opportunity was to help local residents who might not have equipment or technical support at home. I worked as a volunteer to set up new hardware and software, diagnose hardware and software problems, and teach fundamental computer skills.
The results of this volunteering was improved access to technology for community members, increased knowledge and confidence in using technology, and the potential for the library to offer new technology-related services.
As a volunteer, I gained beneficial skills like technical expertise, effective communication, and problem-solving. Additionally, gaining experience working with a diverse group of individuals and having a positive influence on the community. I learned things from this experience that will help me improve as a person and prepare for potential jobs or internships in the future.
