At Campus Recreation, I am a facility monitor in one of the recreational facilities at Temple University, Pearson/McGonigle Halls. As a facility monitor I make sure that all facilities, space and equipment are maintained with diligent care in regard to safety, security, attractiveness, accessibility, informational material, and cleanliness. One important task that my job entitles is to ensure that every student, regardless of disability of sickness has the ability to participate in all activities. I provide and support students with individual assistance to better select programs that fit their needs. After doing so, there is a follow up discussion with the student(s) to ensure the program requirement(s) and their needs are met. Lastly, I coordinate fitness training classes and help sessions for patrons that are unfamiliar with the equipment.
