Director of Community Affairs
Served as Director of Community Affairs for Gamma Iota Sigma, for Fall term of 2024, and Spring 2025.
Currently as a Director, I help lead and organize monthly speaker meetings with industry professionals to engage students in learning more about companies and their initiatives. With our primary goal being to support our students and local organizations, I have been assisting in organizing and executing different events and fundraising activities, such as pretzel sales, bake sales, campus cleanups, and volunteer events. All of the proceeds from these events funnel into our charity of choice, which is ManUP PHL, an organization focused on combatting gun violence especially among youth in Philadelphia.
From my experience, I have learned the importance of quick, concise, and most of all responsive communication. When working with others to organize events, it is important to communicate all the details and be as upfront and helpful as possible. This allows for others to work well off of you, making the process easier, and those around you more willing to contribute and collaborate. This organization has helped me in developing useful communication and professionalism skills as a young professional, with applicability that extends well into other regions of the business industry.
