Travelers’ Case Competition
Competition Overview:
I was chosen along with 4 others by the actuarial department to go to the Travelers’ headquarters in Hartford, Connecticut. We participated in a full day team competition based on an insurance scenario. We had to choose on which factors we wanted to write auto insurance. Travelers then put everyone’s choices through a simulation of the market and depending on your cost to write policies compared to every other teams, you got business. The second half of the day was spent analyzing results and giving a presentation to Actuaries from Travelers.
