Operation Technology
As a Management Information Systems major, I had the opportunity to gain corporate experience this summer working for Duquesne Light Co. under their Operations Technology Department. In this role, I worked on moving our data from our in-house database to our cloud database. Assuring data accuracy and quality for the data moved into the cloud database. I created a front end for the cloud database, making a user-friendly UX/UI for all users. As team lead, my other team members and I researched company efficiency and presented our findings to the CEO to be implemented throughout the company. Through these experiences learned about how a corporate project flows through a company and how MIS skills intersect with many different departments, from IT all the way to Customer service.
