Who is Ben De Carlo?
I am a hard-working, motivated young professional with the desire to excel at anything and everything that I pursue. I have never been one to be content with mediocrity, and have always striven to outperform those around me. I am competitive, but I am also compassionate. I am, and always have been a team player. This comes from more than 10 years of playing high-level, competitive ice hockey. I learned from a very young age that far more could be accomplished if a group of people were willing to put their personal pride to the side in an effort to work together to achieve a collective goal.
I am an athlete, and a Philadelphia sports fanatic. Ice hockey is my favorite sport, followed by football, baseball, soccer, tennis, and basketball.
My family life has always revolved around sports. My father is a sports chiropractor who worked on John Cheney and Temple athletes for years in the early 90s-2000s. I played tee ball, soccer, and hockey growing up. My father was always the head coach, an assistant coach, or at least the team trainer for those teams. He was also an athlete growing up; he played soccer in college. My younger sister is currently playing D1 soccer at George Washington University as a freshman, and my older sister played D3 basketball at Eastern University for four years.
I am surrounded by an excellent family, and we have always worked well together. This, coupled with all of my athletic experiences is why I would consider myself a very good team player today.
I grew up in Bucks County in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and I love it here. I do plan to work internationally and frequently travel abroad, however, I would love to work for a Philadelphia-based company.
