Work Experience
After obtaining an undergraduate degree from Westminster College, MO, I worked as a staff auditor for Missouri State Government. As a staff auditor, my responsibility was to ensure proper use of public funds to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Missouri government by performing audits of state agencies, local counties and the circuit court system. Additionally, I have performed compliance, financial and IT audit in accordance with GAAP and GASB for Missouri State Treasurer’s Office. Assessed the State of Missouri’s integrated financial, human resource and payroll system’s (SAM II) confidentiality, integrity and availability to reduce data redundancy. Tested internal controls ensuring 100% compliance with state and federal regulations; presented audit recommendations to senior management and generated annual/quadrennial functional reports.
