Welcome to my E-Portfolio
Hello! My name is Bing from Fujian province, a fourth-year undergraduate in Philadelphia, PA Temple University, majoring in MIS. I was born in China, moved to the United States in 2010, and became a U.S. citizen in the year of 2016.
My relationship with MIS is a bit complicated. At first, I didn’t know what MIS stands for; or what it accomplishes. I am simply choosing it as a temporary “stop” for my major selection. However, everything changed when I took my first MIS course and worked on the first coding assignment, I began my research on MIS, and the more I knew about it, the more it interest me. Sure, some of the coding assignments were EXTREMELY difficult, for me at least. But the harder it is, the more satisfaction I receive from completing it. MIS is not an effortless major that you can muddle through. It requires considerable time and energy, it is something that you will only fully comprehend when you put your heart into it, and I have been prepared for that.
I am optimistic, enthusiastic, and have a strong sense of responsibility. Since my freshman year, I have been paying special attention to the quality and improvement of my skills while studying my major courses carefully, making full use of my spare time to broaden my knowledge horizon and improve my knowledge structure. I believe that opportunity is reserved for those who are prepared.
