IRA & Small Retirement Plans Associate

- Janney Montgomery Scott LLC has more than 100 locations in the US with Financial Advisors who help clients achieve their financial goals through wealth management, financial planning, and other financial services.
- Janney’s headquarters is located at Three Logan Square, 1717 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
- I will be working in the IRA department as an IRA & Small Retirement Plans Associate.
2. Job function (e.g., overall role, assigned tasks)
- Process and review retirement plan transactions in our internal request system submitted by financial advisors and private client associates
- Complete daily and weekly reports to ensure proper procedures are being followed on all of our client accounts
- Conduct user testing for internal systems before the release of new features
- Create reports from company databases using SQL
- Automate back-end processing to make efficiencies
3. How the job relates to your major (describe how you will apply course work to the job or which course(s) helped you get this job).
- I will be using SQL to build reports for the IRA department which are skills I learned in both Data Analytics and Web Service Programming.
- I will be responsible for testing the UX for our internal ticket system to create a better user experience for both our clients and financial advisors submitting requests. Many of these skills I learned from User Design Experience.
