Coursework
I have a strong career interest in working as a business/systems analyst or as a project manager. My coursework relates very well to this career interest because we had the opportunity to do projects as business analysts and project managers for real companies. In MIS 3504, I was a business analyst for the company Blinds 4 U. We prototyped an app that would help them to streamline operations by recording and automatically sending measurements, orders, and quotes to the proper parties. I also worked as a project manager in MIS 3535, where we managed the prototyping of a mobile app to accompany the book Forgotten Philadelphia. This project was for the client TUPress. Both of these classes gave me real opportunities to understand what these careers would be like and the experience to give me a head start in both.
